Insurance & Financial Aid

Insurance

Monroe Orthotics and Prosthetics understands the burden that can be created by health care expenses. We make every attempt to try and ease that burden, and we ask that our patients understand the complex and costly process which is involved in custom fabricating prosthetic and orthotic devices. Our staff will help work out a payment plan, help file insurance claims and discuss possible alternative avenues of reimbursement. We will help obtain all necessary documentation required by insurance carriers and from your prescribing doctor when applicable. Click here for insurance we accept.

Medicare

We have years of experience working with the Medicare program. Our comprehensive understanding help us to answer your questions regarding eligibility, bills, deductibles, and Medicare notices. Medicare will pay 80% of its “fee schedule” for covered prosthetic or orthotic services, after your annual deductible has been met. Generally there are no caps on types of technology covered by Medicare, as long the prosthetic or orthotic device is medically appropriate, is prescribed by a treating physician, and otherwise meets Medicare’s coverage criteria. It is essential to work closely with your healthcare team to determine which prosthetic or orthotic product is the most appropriate for your lifestyle.
